The KPV Tripeptide
KPV (Lysine-Proline-Valine) is a tripeptide derived from the larger alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). In molecular research, it is studied for its potent anti-inflammatory properties that appear to work through multiple intracellular pathways.
Modulating Cytokines
Laboratory findings suggest that KPV can inhibit the activation of NF-kappaB, a key transcription factor involved in the inflammatory response. This lead to a reduction in the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-alpha.
